// OUR_STORY

I built Akka.NET in 2013 because I needed it. I was building a low-latency marketing automation service and the .NET ecosystem had nothing for distributed systems work. I found inspiration in Scala's Akka project, teamed up with other .NET contributors, and what started as solving my own problem turned into an accidental career.

Twelve years later, I've built a team of people who love what Akka.NET does, and our goal is simple: give the best .NET developers the best tools for building the world's most important software. We believe in open source, our business is shaped around it, and we never want .NET developers to find themselves in the position we were in back in 2013.
